Overview

Paediatric and perinatal pathology is delivered at the Bristol Royal Infirmary Department of Histopathology. Within the department there is a dedicated paediatric laboratory. The unit provides surgical paediatric pathology services to the Bristol Royal Children’s Hospital (University Hospitals Bristol and Western NHS Foundation Trust). This is the paediatric tertiary referral centre for the entire South West of England covering Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire. The department also provides perinatal autopsy services for most of the South West.
